New Year Starts with Lancashire Festival of Darts!

Dart TournamentsSaturday 21st January and Sunday 22nd January 2012 plays host to a feast of darts in Lancashire! The Lancashire Festival of Darts in Association with Winmau takes place in Fleetwood and there is £8,000 on offer over the weekend.

The Lancashire Open Singles and Open Pairs take place on 21st January, with the Singles event carrying an impressive £1,500 first prize.

All ages and genders will be in action on 22nd January in the Lancashire Classic, with Men’s and Women’s Singles and Pairs titles as well as the Youth Open.

Tommy Thompson of Lancashire County Darts said “The Lancashire Festival of Darts has already received an impressive number of entries, and the 2012 event will be our most successful yet. The events carry England, BDO Grand Prix and Lancashire ranking points, which is a major attraction for the top players. All matches are played on the Winmau Blade 4 dartboard, and we are really appreciative of Winmau for all their help and support”.

Last year’s tournament threw up a rare surprise – both Men’s Singles titles were won by England International Andy Beardmore.

Wonderful. Such an event in a big way. I'll try to get as a spectator for the final on July. That if I did not go somewhere in Africa on a business trip.
