Next week the PDC World Championship will start. We thought that would be a good accasion for another trivia contest.

We´ll reveal all details next week - it will not be as difficult as the last one Wink

We will start with it next week and it will run over the three weeks of World Championship.
Three weeks - every week three questions- and three prices Laughing

The prices will be two sets of Unicorn darts (thanks Erik!! who managed that) and a dart shirt signed by as many participants of the World Championship as possible inclusive Phil Taylor....

It´s already quite a long time since your last win....

This week the PDC World Championship will start on Friday so this week we´ll answer the first three questions.
You´ve time to answer those till Sunday evening - sending the answers either to dart_talker or to me.
This time I would say the questions really are not difficult, can you hear me, Thorn???

Who are the North American participants of the World Championship 2010?

What are their nicknames?

And who are their first round opponents?

It should be no problem to find the right answers for everybody who´s interested in the PDC World Championship.

- of course you can answer all questions till the third week is over....It´s only that on the next two Mondays three new questions will be asked.

At least I hope everybody did understand the prices are two sets of Unicorn darts (whichever you want!) and a signed dart-shirt - signed by the participants of the World Championship.....

Thank you Charis, Dart_Talker, Erick, and Unicorn. The trivia contest was a lot of fun!

Having the trivia contest during the event adds to the overall enjoyment for me. It also provides a fun way to learn more about darts and the players involved.

We didn´t get a single wrong answer - was it too easy??? But we wanted it to be fun!

And because it was a rather special answer I post here Joe´s answer to the question : How many World Champions will play in this years World Championship?

If the answer is opened-up to include BDO World Champions, then the answer is seven (7); the following three players and the previous four listed above: Mark Webster, BDO (2008); Jelle Klaasen, BDO (2006); and Steve Beaton, BDO (1996) for a total of seven previous World Champions.

If the answer is opened-up to include WDF Singles World Champions, then the answer is eight (; the following player: Roland Scholten, WDF Men’s Singles (1993) and the previous three (3) from the BDO World Champions and the previous four (4) from the PDC World Champions for a total of eight ( previous World Champions.

Furthermore, if we include WDF Pairs World Champions, then the answer is ten (10); the following players: Mervyn King WDF Pairs 2003 (with Martin Adams); Vincent van der Voot WDF Pairs 2006 (with Raymond van Barneveld) and the previous one (1) WDF World Champion, and the three (3) from the BDO World Champions and the previous four (4) from the PDC World Champions for a total of ten (10) previous World Champions.
