Wish I had league stuff to post, but we are off forEVER!!!!!!! With the Holidays and the Bluebonnet . . . we don't play again until mid January! Sigh . . .

Hey . . . are we going to make up our game on the 14th? That is the Thursday Kid's session for the Bluebonnet!

DK - don't you have to be at the hotel for that? Just let me know!

Maybe we could makeup our game there! Give the kids something to watch.

Haven't visited in awhile! Sorry about that, didn't have a lot to say.

Played Kop's team tonight. Punkin finally showed up! Had a winning record and it's been awhile since that has happened. Always have SO much fun playing this team.

Good news . . . our team did win 21-16. It wasn't for lack of trying on their part!

Hope to share more on a regular basis . . . now that we are back to playing league every week!

Congrats . It was the usual fun filled night with you guys. Its really what dart league should be all the time. Thanks for making my season a ton off work to make up for last night. But hey I wouldnt have it any other way. Wohooooo

You so have that right, Kop! Wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING!!!!!

I had SUCH a great time at the Capital City Classic tourney in Austin this past weekend! Great turn out and LOTS of fun was had by all. It is such a fun tourney. If you have the opportunity to attend, I highly recommend it! ALWAYS a great time! Can't wait for the Freedom Tourney!

Punkin was fortunate enough to shoot with terrific partners; Kerrie in the Women’s events , Habanerojooz in Mixed Doubles, and Jooz & Shane in Mixed Trips. Because of my GREAT partners, Punkin got T4 in Mixed Doubles Cricket and T8 in Mixed Trips (I may have helped a little) but they shot awesome! Thank you!

Just to tell you how awesome . . . Jooz won BOTH Men’s Singles events (winning over Chris Helms in the Cricket and Dieter Schutsch in the 01). AND Jooz and Shane won Men’s Doubles Cricket. The competition was fierce! It was truly amazing to watch!!!!!!! So very happy for them both!

Back to league stuff . . . We are still in 2nd place! Still have a make up game . . . We are hanging in there and are ready to ROCK! Bring it folks . . . we are up for the challenge!

ALL the best . . . ALWAYS!

The first Quarter of the year is crazy for me at work; work late at the office and have to work more when I get home. I told Ralph that it would be be at least March before I would be able to do it. So . . . .read on BH . . . it is still going to happen!!!!!

I haven’t posted anything lately about the journey of Punkin and her darting life. Yeah, little tid bits here and there but . . . . I have to admit it is because I haven’t wanted to admit how BADLY I’ve been struggling with my darts and my darting ability. That is a VERY hard thing for me to admit! To admit it, it becomes real. But admitting you have a problem is half the battle! But I’m ready! So here goes.

Ahem . . . I am Punkin and I have a problem.

It happened several months ago. Poof and it was gone! I lost my confidence; totally and completely! I’m not sure how or why it happened, but it did in a very big way. I was totally and completely petrified to walk up to the oche. I had NO idea who was going to show up or what was going to happen; Punkin The Dart Player or Punkin WTF? During this period, I had moments of PUNKIN The Dart Player but WAY too many of the Punkin WTF!!!!!

How does one LOSE TOTAL CONFIDENCE? How do you go from being a pretty decent darter to holy crap … what is happening?

I’m still am not sure how or why that happened. Maybe y’all can chime in on that one. BUT . . . I am now happy to say that Punkin has her confidence back. How did that happen? Reading a LOT about sporting psychology, relaxing techniques, and (what surprised me) stress management!

CONFIDENCE that your mind and your arm knows what to do (muscle memory – lots on SEWA about that), CONFIDENCE in yourself and CONFIDENCE in your ability!

I still have lots of room for improvement, but that is what makes this such a challenging sport. Who can’t improve; even Phil Taylor practices and he is the best player on record!

Practice enough to keep your game; practice enough to perfect your throw; practice enough to keep your confidence. And after that . . . KNOW that you CAN do it! Believe that you WILL do it! TRUST in yourself and your ability!

Punkin is one happy camper! I appreciate all that has been offered here and in my posting in the 'General' post!

Y'alls responses have helped Punkin recover. I just hope that reading this thread has helped others! If so, please respond!

I am very fortunate in that I have lots of locals that are willing to help me over come my affliction! And I AM over coming my issues. I couldn't have done it without them!

WOW!

Can’t believe it’s been that long since I’ve posted in the Patch. Looks like I’m not living up to my commitment! I’ll try to do better.

Punkin’s adventure is continuing. I’m struggling less and hitting more. And THAT is a very good thing!

Just to catch you up on things . . . I went to the Gaytor Shootout and got 2nd in the Ladies Singles 501. Played Danielle Morace in the finals and . . . coulda, shoulda, woulda but didn’t! She is a tremendous shot and an even better person! But very happy with how I shot, except for the doubles; made her work for it! Got T4 in Mixed Doubles with Habanerojooz . T8 with Kerrie in Ladies Doubles Cricket. Overall . . . not a bad weekend. I was consistent and confident! (And . . . I came home with more money than I started with! That is ALWAYS good!)

League is getting better also. I’m making my opponents beat me instead of beating myself! That is a good feeling!!!!!!

I’ve got the Houston Open coming up in two weeks. I have GREAT partners and am ready to ROCK! No doubt and no worries. I will be hitting the practice board and working on doubles.
