Dastardly Deeds in Darts
One angry man brings Southern California Darts Association to its knees

It's not easy to piss off a bunch of beer-guzzling darts players. On the whole, the barroom sport, popular in Los Angeles locales like Hollywood, Santa Monica and Woodland Hills, tends to attract mild-mannered, blue-collar guys, artists and musicians — people with sure hands and a hearty sense of humor who don't really give a damn.

Wish I could see all the emails that went back and forth regarding his request for a name correction. And while I agree that this guy has gone completely overboard in his actions, could they have not have simply changed the name ? how hard can it be to do that ?

as for this dart league, I think since they lost the name SCDA, they should rename it SCMDA.

Umm ill just say I started playing in the Houston Darts Association and now they are called the Harris County Darts Association for similar reasons. Each to their own. Asses

That's just crazy. It's a game that we all love to play. My name is constantly misspelled and I used to correct people but stopped that when I was... 12. Unreal. I'm surprised they allow any one to play steel tip in So Cal (and I'm from San Bernardino), I've only seen soft tip. Guess that depends on the bar.

I'll definately look you up. Like I said, I had no idea Steel Tip Darts existed out there until a short while ago. I come home a couple of times a year so I'm going to schedule my next trip around a tournament (and the Bruins playing Kings/Sharks/Ducks) but that won't be until 2013.
